Subconsciously, I think I had to squat without sleeves to justify #deloading but you got to do what you got to do. Happily no snap-crackle-and-pop in the knees. No time to wait for bench press so chest press had to do.

When things aren't going our way we can spiral. I always forget how much better it feels until I'm in the chair watching the hair come off. Laughing with other men didn't hurt either. If haircuts aren't your thing, try caring for yourself in some other way.

Today's session & video reminded me not 2 worry about "perfect". Movement still feels good even if you didn't go as heavy as you wanted, as far as you wanted or as fast as you wanted.

If I leave it too long between trims (and I do sometimes) I start to lose sight of myself. I can feel it happening. And I can literally see me come back when the barber's finished.
I wrestled with not being able to reasonably fit a session in Wednesday. Thinking I'd "fallen off the wagon"/"missed one".
That's not the relationship I'm trying to have with exercise. I do it WHENEVER I CAN because movement gives me #joy

Been talking myself out of overhead pressing 67.5kg today but can't wait to overhead press 70kg next because that's 2 bright red bumper plates. Gonna put that down to the #ADHD brain because it craves novelty.

Got in, did the basics and got out. Walking to and from the car was hard but the lifting was mercifully uneventful. Post-injury, squatting less than this has resulted in serious pain so I'm happy to be #goingintherightdirecton albeit SLOWLY. Grateful to have this #movement back in my life for now.

My #bingeing is driven by a lack of joy. The gym gives me 3x0.5 days of joy per week & my injury makes other real-world movement REALLY hard. I'm good at fighting binges now but who wants to spend 79% of their waking time fighting with no end in sight? Today is a day where it all feels like 2 much.
Happy that the #overheadpress is still increasing without any hint of forearm/ elbow pain. Is it me or does the #deadlift look more like a #Romaniandeadlift? Might just be because the weight is still relatively light. #startingover is harder than starting but #goingintherightdirecton
