A tree in Alexandra Park in Hastings, it’s a pine of sorts, tall, with some of its branches growing at geometrical angles as if they’ve been assisted to do so. There is a second photo of the same tree from a position. In both the sun is behind the tree, making the shot seem a little other worldly alongside the unusual growth pattern (to me anyway).

'Blind Joe' mid 1800's blind bellman of Oldham. Joseph Howarth who's statue here was erected by public subscription. The building in the background is the bandstand.
Statue of Rebecca pretty much life sized, stood on her stone plinth in a flower bed of small grasses. Rebecca is stood wearing an approximation of classical Greek/Roman clothing and she is looking into a bowl held in her left hand.

The glasshouse, recently restored to former glories and full of heat loving plants, sadly we're not allowed inside at the moment. In the background is the house that serves as the park management offices and education suite. I could very happily convert it back to a home and live there.
One of the signposts in the foreground pointing out some of the many attractions this lovely park offers. Large open grassy exhibition and events area behind it and the is the Lions Den (a sit down shelter on the higher level promenade, with a couple of ornamental lions guarding it - not visible here - that give it its name)

This cast iron fountain was created for the 1901 Glasgow International Exhibition in Kelvingrove Park. At the end of the festival it was removed and re-erected in Alexandra Park in 1914.
