A tiny metallic green bee is feeding on the bright yellow umbelliferous flowers of Golden Alexanders. It is seen from the right and slightly behind, as it stretches between two florets.

The same small bee as viewed from the left front. The bright metallic sheen of the head and thorax contrasts with the smoky brown translucent wings. Both the lateral compound eyes and three median ocelli are visible.
