This stunning red rose was photographed right in my backyard—a single bloom that caught my eye and inspired a moment of creative focus. I used my Canon 5D Mark IV paired with the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM lens, fully zoomed to 400mm, shooting at ISO 100, f/11, 1/8s. With a 10-second timer and my tripod carefully positioned, I waited for the perfect moment. A light sprinkle of water from the garden hose added that magical shimmer and texture to the petals.
