A poem... "Slow Food" A raised bed doesn't hurt my back, Worm bin to the side with fresh veggie scraps. Husband fills it up with organic soil. Their muzzles black, dogs look for dirt snacks Turnips, carrots, marigolds, beets, every day I peek. Feeling appreciation for farmers who grew: The potatoes for yesterday's fries The kale for today's juice, The strawberries for tomorrow's oatmeal. Slow food growing in the garden And gratitude in my heart.
