Despite the lopsided face that only a mother could love, the design mounts still the rated 11 guns in a continued forwards profile, a considerable punch increase over it predecessor, the Greenheart-class who could only bring to bear 8 of their 12 guns on any one target. The secondary battery consists of a smattering of 38.5cm guns and a volume of 9.4cm flak guns only matched by the outdated Portuga-pattern Man o' War. Similar to other Blue Superclass frigates, the manoeuvrability is provided by a number of gimbaled thrusters, though lacking the magnetic plume vectors of the Bluefable and Bluesmith classes. As with the other rated classes of the Blue Superclass, the Bluelyne-class is named for Danielle Lyne, one of the first Tripresidan. The class is often mocked for its unconventional shape, and nicknamed after the Sidefish, an evolutionary offshoot of the sunfish that is now native to Centria Major.
