Windy morning, so only 2 Chiffchaffs caught. Heard lots of Blackcaps singing! Birds on thistle, possible Green Sandpiper (no binos to confirm!).

This goldcrest is a regular visitor to my back garden - searching for small insects on the shrubs and trees. It is a male, judging by the orange tinge at the back of its otherwise golden crest. It is Ireland's smallest breeding bird species. #goldcrest #birdwatchireland #birdsurvey #Galway #Ireland

Back in Sussex, it was nice to find a new species for my Webs list at Hampden Park, a med gull.

Also nice to see that people if they have to feed birds are using food that isn’t BREAD.
