Pacific Trillium with three leaves and three petals. The flowers eventually age to a pink or purple color.
I have taken several pictures of the same grouping of these Pacific Trilliums. These are near the path around a local lake in rich forest soil.
There were a few more trilliums that didnβt want to fit into the picture in this drift of flowers. Like a large bouquet of white Trillium blossoms on the forest floor.
Trillium ovatum, the Pacific trillium is in the Lily family. My family sometimes referred to them as Easter lilies when I was growing up. One of my very favorite spring flowers.
