Monday was a beautiful day up in the mountains. The Big Valley in California, where totally covered in a layer of fog. The picture shows grass on the bottom some trees in the foreground. The Sierra foothills in the middle across the horizon is the fog which looks like the ocean and then nothing but blue skies above.

A stealthy stationary heron reflected in the still water against blurred reeds that all looks like it’s on fire lit by the golden hour sun. The colours almost look a bit false but if anything actually the angle and strength of the sun for a few fleeting moments made the golden colours even stronger than displayed here in sd rather than hdr.
