This photo captures a vibrant cluster of wild violets (Early Dog Violet) blooming amidst dry, straw-like grass. Several rich, deep purple-blue flowers are scattered throughout the frame. Each has five delicate petals arranged in a distinctive irregular "star" shape—two pointing upward, two to the sides, and one lower petal that forms a spur. Dense, bright green heart-shaped leaves with slightly toothed edges peak out from beneath the dry grass. The contrast between the vivid purple petals and the pale, tan-colored dried grass emphasizes their early spring emergence.
Early Dog Violet (Viola reichenbachiana)
It is associated with woodland magic and, in some traditions, placing petals under a pillow to induce vivid dreams.

A photograph of a long mural painted a the exterior of a building in Athens, Greece. The largely grayscale artwork is a satirical take on da Vinci's "The Last Supper". The disciples have been replaced with men in business suits who are variously drinking, playing card games, or passed out. There is no food on the table and Jesus is missing from the central chair. The Acropolis is in the windows behind Jesus' empty seat. From below the table, hands are reaching upward. A blue splash of paint runs downward in the middle of the piece which is characteristic of INO's works.

This is Heron Marsh at the Paul Smth’s College VIC in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. The VIC is a nature preserve that offers year-round access to nature, outdoor recreation and the arts.
