Finally! There has been a Yellow- rumped Warbler in the shrubs by my porch for two months and I never saw it. Today I spotted this #butterbutt out the window and caught some photos! She may be a new arrival. 🪶

This particular warbler appears to be caught in a moment of intense, perhaps even grumpy, contemplation, seemingly questioning the very nature of its bright yellow identifying patches. The expression on its face suggests a deep, internal monologue about the challenges of being an abundant but constantly flitting "feathery explorer" who rarely sits still for long.
That warbler isn't being rude when it shows off its yellow patch; it's just trying to "butt-er" you up for a good look at its catch.
