The paddle steamer 'Glengarry' on #LochNess, c. late-19thC
Built in 1844, and originally named 'Edinburgh Castle', she started on the Inverness - Banavie route in 1847 and made her final voyage along the #CaledonianCanal #OnThisDay in 1927

Dochgarroch Lock lies at the northeastern end of Loch Dochfour on the #CaledonianCanal. A busy little tourism hub for trips up #LochNess. The weir and loch system was engineered and constructed by Thomas Telford between 1822–1825.
