514 vintners and more than 6000 wines are available for tasting and for sale at the consumer fair Salon des Vignerons Indépendants at Strasbourg. In addition there is an Espace Professionel for professionals.

My focus was on white wines from the Vallée du Rhône and on Crémants Rosés. My favorites which I bought: 2024 V (for Viognier) Famille Bour Domaine de Grangeneuve AOC Grignan-les Adhémar 14%, a spice, peppery and fruity beauty. NV Bulles de Lalande-Labatut Brut Rosé AOC Crémant de Bordeaux Château Lalande-Labatut 12%, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, a rosé not only fruity but also with character.

You like ostery, rillette, cheese or gâteau breton? No need to go hungry at the Salon. I went for a sandwich with truffled salami.

Golden in color. Strong nose of citrus, apples, yeast, brioche, spices, minerals and sea salt. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and medium plus sized bubbles. Dry on the palate with yellow apples, citrus, lemons, pears, spices, herbs, light earth and sea salt. Tangy finish with limes and sweet grapefruits. This is a very tasty sparkling wine from Bordeaux. Fruit forward and nicely balanced. Showing mild complexity and a festive mouthfeel. Good for parties. Neither tart nor bitter. A nice sipping wine that will pair nicely with food too. Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. Good by itself, and better when properly chilled. A good pool. 12% alcohol by volume. 90 points.
