We got perfect weather (after days of rain) when visiting a traditional Japanese village near Mt Fuji! What a great day to see the Japanese countryside!

Today, we headed into the mountains of Japan to see Mt Fuji, a traditional Japanese village and a MagLev train! They were testing the train today, so we got to see the train rush by at more than 300 MPH!

Today, we braved the rain and visited the Hamarikyu Gardens and Kanda Myoujin Temple. Despite the rain, we enjoyed the juxtaposition of the urban and nature.

Today, we got to visit several STEM-related sites in Tsukuba, including JAXA (the Japanese NASA), Cyberdyne Studios (which makes medical assistive technology, not Skynet and Terminators) and NIED, where Bonnie got to ride the earthquake simulator!
