Started this quilt last August for my friend who is a huge movie buff. Just the letters are 1800+ pieces of fabric, doesn't include the connecting pieces, borders. Took 2 weeks of planning. Wanted to have it finished for #Ebertfest but was a day late. Now on to his fav movie titles. #quiltsky
I attended my first Ebertfest in 2012, after years of watching Roger on TV and reading his blog. In 2014 I started my own film festival in Milton, largely inspired by #Ebertfest. If they wanted to move it to Canada I would move heaven and earth to make it happen. www.indiewire.com/news/festiva...

A great festival. I went every year from the start (and have the coffee mugs to prove it). However, after Roger died, it wasn't the same and I stopped going regularly. Still, I highly recommend it to anyone. #Ebertfest

Day 2 at #Ebertfest was a bit of a marathon, but we'll worth it:
☆ Got to see Megalopolis on a big screen! Definitely more coherent the 2nd time.
☆ Can't believe I had never seen Desperately Seeking Susan, but so glad I did - and got to watch Rosanna Arquette dancing to Madonna on stage!
One of many excellent things about #Ebertfest and the gorgeous Virginia Theatre: they have a real organ with a live organist. No better place to watch a movie.
Made it! The border was remarkable hassle-free, although it did feel a bit like driving into East Berlin. But the weather is gorgeous, the AirBNB is stunning, and I'm here with great friends. Glad to be back at #Ebertfest!!
FYI, I will be travelling to the US on Wednesday to attend #Ebertfest in Champaign, IL - just as I have every year (except during COVID) since 2012. I mentioned this just in case, you know, ha ha, I get detained and thrown into a foreign gulag or something.
