A super rare vintage 1960s handmade sterling silver and enamel Art Deco revival Mask Bullseye modernist design pendant necklace by Uno A Erre of Arezzo, Italy. Exceptional design and craftsmanship! Uno A Erre was founded in 1926 by partners Carlo Zucchi and Leopoldo Gori. The company has a long and celebrated history, and they are still in business today. In the 1960s 70s period they produced highly sought-after modernist designs including this very rare necklace! The only example of this design by them that I have ever seen! The pendant reminds me of a tribal art mask design that has been geometricized resembling Art Deco, but also the chain has links that look like arrows, and the 'mouth' of the mask resembles a bullseye design! Super unique, and you'll likely never see another! Pendant measures 1-5/8" by 1", and hangs on a 16-3/4" unique integral sterling chain. Both chain and pendant are marked "Uno A Erre Italy 925". Superb example of mid century Italian modernist jewelry design! Excellent vintage condition.

A vivid vintage 1960s 70s signed handmade sterling silver and enamel geometric modernist brooch. A truly painterly piece with a super bright orange enamel likely on copper that has been placed inside a sterling silver frame, and that has three small round 'cups' of sterling silver covered in red enamel rising above the orange enamel background! Never seen anything like this one before, and no doubt a one of a kind piece of wearable modern art! Like a little painting to decorate your attire! Measures 1.75" by 1.75" square shaped by about 3/8" thickest point, and weighs a substantial 35.3 grams total. Quite heavy for the size! Marked at back with a spiral-shaped maker mark that I haven't been able to identify yet. The maker is a mystery, but the quality of the design and craftsmanship are top-notch! Tested and guaranteed to be as described. From the estate of a NYC collector who traveled the world for her career in publishing, and purchased many unique and wonderful example of the jewelers art along the way! Excellent vintage condition.

A one of a kind vintage 1960s SIGNED handmade copper enamel and bronze modernist cuff bracelet by Jack Boyd of San Diego. Boyd (1934-1982) was born and raised in Alpine, California ( a small town about 30 miles outside San Diego) and quickly showed an interest in art and creating his unique designs. At just 20 years of age, he joined the Allied Craftsmen of San Diego which included James Parker, the Woolleys, and Barney Reid (among others). His earliest work is always one of a kind and unique and decidedly mid century and constructivist in nature, while his later more brutalist jewelry items are cast bronze multiples and most likely re-issued multiple times as there was demand for them. This bracelet is a fine example of his much rarer early work, and is no doubt a unique and one of a kind creation. There is another similar shown in the catalog for the exhibit "San Diego Craft Revolution" (2011-2012) at the Mingei Museum in San Diego, and that one is shown on page 84 of the catalog. It is similar in construction, but the enamel section is completely different in design. This bracelet measures 2-1/4" wide at top, and fits my 7.5" wrist perfectly, but could be adjusted by a professional up or down a few sizes if needed. Due to the construction method of this bracelet, specifically how the enamel plaque is attached to the bronze cuff, I do not recommend that anyone attempt to size this bracelet themselves. Marked at back on the reverse of the enamel plaque with his early hand-engraved JB mark as shown in my photos. Excellent vintage condition.

A gorgeous vintage 1950s handmade copper enamel geometric modernist link bracelet from Germany or Austria. A striking geometric design in black with alternating elongated triangles in gold, turquoise, and purple translucent enamel underneath which is silver foil that has been crumpled to create an abstract texture! Bold and visually arresting design superbly hand crafted and in immaculate condition after all these years! As shown in my photo, the bracelet is about 7" long by 1" wide, but because the links are curved it actually fits a larger wrist. Fits my 7.5" wrist comfortably even a bit loosely, so I'm guessing could fit up to a 7.75" wrist Unmarked, but unmistakably in the German and Austrian style of copper enamel jewelry from the period. Often, their jewelry only had small paper labels that either fell off or were removed by the original owners. The backs are counter-enameled in a speckled blue-gray enamel as shown. Excellent vintage condition.

A unique vintage 1950s handmade gilt metal and enamel modernist Op Art design brooch from Japan. These Japanese pieces with the vivid Op Art designs are quite rare! I've only had a handful in my 45+ years in the business! The others were all cufflinks, and this is the only brooch I've had! Measures 1-7/8" across by 1/2" tall. Unmarked, but no doubt that it's Japanese origin. There is a great deal of tarnish at back, so it's possible that the material is unmarked silver, but the enamel is flawless! Excellent vintage condition.

A large vintage 1950s 60s handmade sterling silver and multi-colored enamel Mexican modernist stylized figure brooch from Taxco. No doubt a Chato Castillo design for Los Castillo, this example is unsigned, and thus may have been made by one of their workers in his spare time to sell for extra money. This was an established practice in Taxco in all the larger talleres, and gave the workers an additional way to earn money, though they weren't allowed to use the studio marks for their extracurricular work. This fine example measures 2-5/8" tall by 1" wide and weighs 15 grams total. As noted above, this example is unsigned but no doubt a Los Castillo design, and has been tested and guaranteed to be as described. Excellent vintage condition.

A sunny vintage 1960s handmade copper enamel modernist Sunrise Sunset design brooch by the artistic duo Micheline de Passillé and Yves Sylvestre of Quebec Canada. The design is overall abstract but with elements that suggest a landscape with the earth, clouds and the sun either rising or setting. The couple were more experimental in their early days, and that is seen clearly in this piece of art to wear. De Passilé-Sylvestre started their business in 1960 by making one of a kind enamel artworks and jewelry in enamel on copper. (See my last photo for an image of the couple at one of their installation exhibitions in their early days.) This is one of their earlier designs, and quite attractive overall and especially the choice of colors! Measures 2" by 1-1/2". Marked at back as shown with their early jewelry mark, "de P.-S.". There is one micro flea-bite in the top right hand corner as I have shown in my closeup photo. Hardly if at all noticeable when worn, and doesn't distract in the least. Excellent vintage condition.

A vibrant vintage 1960s 70s handmade copper enamel abstract modernist link bracelet. Alternating high contrast enamel links with silver-colored interlinks and silver box closure with a smaller enameled plaque inset as shown. Measures 6.5" long but because the links are curved it actually fits a larger wrist up to about 7.25" in my estimation (fits my 7.5" wrist snugly). Measures just over 3/4" wide. Unmarked, and I am guessing that it originally had a hangtag or other labeling and most likely sold in a gallery or art fair. In any case a unique and quite striking piece of wearable art enamel jewelry! Excellent vintage condition.
