The scene is rendered in muted sepia and ochre tones with a hazy, ethereal glow emanating from the lit marquee. The image is covered in artificial textures including dark water stains, scratches, dust specks, and a cracked film emulsion effect, giving the theater and the figures standing out front the appearance of a century-old artifact.

My challenge was 1st to take the scene from realism to abstraction and 2nd to find an abstract that was purely about color and shape, as works by Ellsworth Kelly, Frank Stella, etc show. All post processing to get here was done on an iPhone using Snapseed and ImageFlux. Tweaks to color & rotation & cropping in Snapseed, saving different copies. - Took those copies into ImageFlux for multiple exposure treatment, several iterations with various blend modes (more drastic blend modes like linear light, subtract, etc). Back to Snapseed for more cropping, changing hue colors, saving multiple copies to use in Image Flux, & back to Snapseed for final crops, reducing contrast, hue saturation changes.

into post-painterly abstraction era. And it was a challenge since what I usually start with is already more/less abstract but color is color.

I used Snapseed for editing. I cut different sections of the original image and layered them with varying opacity levels. I used black and white, noir, and curves to adjust contrast and shadows.

Edited in #darktable. Main modules used: AgX tone mapper & LUT 3D. Some de-clarifying, structure enhancement, added grain and a tad highlight blurring to simulate film with no anti-halation layer. Not quite sure what I've ended up with but will have another go!

Using Snapseed, I removed the color, giving it a vintage 50's feel, cropped out the pole that had garland on it an effort to erase holiday vibes. I then added a frame to reduce visualization of the street, then sharpen the image to better see the building is made of brick & the name of the street they're on, "Colfax," which was important to know where to meet for the performance.

I’m not sure, but perhaps I’ve gone a bit overboard with all the editing apps. I’ve created a sort of colourised sepia photo from a cold (ice) age. Apps used: Snapseed, Pixelmator, Mextures & Reflect.

This is a photo that's been cropped and edited from an original photo by Rock for this week's challenge #erashift. I used Snapseed only. First, I cropped it. Then, with an old, faded, somewhat mysterious Polaroid in mind, I adjusted: light, color, saturation and worked more on lighting. Then I added two different types of borders.

I loved this week's #ECK #PostProcess subject because I thought the more varied composition of Rock's photo provided greater editing opportunities than last week's. I see sooooooooo many different ways of completely changing the aesthetics.

A street photo of people passing by or standing in front of a two-story brick movie theatre called the Bluebird. It looks like pop art graphic design made on a computer more than a typical photograph, thanks to several vintage skewing steps in Snapseed. First, I used a Vintage filter with the concentration pushed up further, then Drama to give it an intense orange-red colour all over. After that, Tune Image, HDR scape, Portrait, another HDR emphasis, then multiple tweaks in repeated tonal imaging ambiance and contrast layers. #PostProcess #ECK #EraShift
