Panel 1: St. John Coward drags his cane across the bars of a cage. The creature inside, a bear/wolf/cat-like creature with a triangular prism-shaped body with two pairs of legs on each side, growls.

Coward: What man of wealth and taste wouldn't love to own a North American whintosser...

Panel 2: Coward points his cane as a water tank containing a large legless alligator with a hairy back with a giant spike coming out of it and a propellor on the tip of its tail.

Coward: ... or a snoligoster... to demonstrate his virility?

Panel 3: Coward taps on a box containing a small rodent-like creature that emits a tea-kettle wail as steam pours out of its mouth.

Coward: Or a refined lady her own teakettler?

Panel 4: Outside in the snow, Eggman complains.

Eggman: This ain't right! Guard duty is a waste of time for a man of my intelligence and a man of your...

Panel 5: Eggman looks at Walrus.

Eggman: ...uh...

Panel 6:

Eggman: ...knowing a man of my intelligence.

Walrus smiles vacantly at this.

Panel 1: St. John Coward gestures towards a fishtank containing furry trout. The glove made of wapaloosie fur is clinging to the top of his cane.

Coward: The fur-bearing trout. Unlike their poisonous cousins in Iceland, the North American variety are edible and, indeed, tasty. The fur adds value as material for clothing manufacture.

Panel 2: Coward crouches down and taps his cane against a glass box containing what looks like a fur coat. The glove jumps off the cane and onto the side of the box.

Coward: The rumtifusel, a relative of the Pacific Northwest tree octopus, has perfectly adapted to trap its prey, man, by disguising itself as a lost fur coat draped over a log.

Panel 3: The underside of the fur coat reveals itself to be a cephalopod-like creature and it clings to the inside of the glass box with horrible sucking noises. The glove makes its way to the top of the glass box.

Panel 4: The gangsters react in horror.

Sweaty Suriano: Gahh!!

Lardo Lombardo: Mary, Mother of God!!

Paulie Pocket (with a tiny speech balloon: Shit!

Panel 5: Coward gets up, leaning on his cane. The glove has climbed off the glass box up to the top of a cage next to it.

Coward: But that mean that for our purposes, it is merely a ready-make fur coat, with only the eyes, teeth, suckers and digestive organs needing removal. And whatever animals here that have no immediate material value would still net a fortune in the exotic pet market.

Panel 4: Coward makes a threatening face and silently raises his cane.

Panel 1: The interior of the warehouse, Fearsome Critters, including a Cactus Cat, a Roperite, a Gumberoo, a Snoligoster, a Hugag, a Hudag, a Toteroad Shagamaw, and an Axehandle Hound, are all kept in too-small cages stacked on top of each other.

St. John Coward: Gentlemen, I introduce you to my North American menagerie!

Panel 2: Closeup of Coward. In the background is a crate labelled "Contains Squonk, do not look" as water pours out of the airholes in it.

Coward: All rare species, each with their own unique value. No need for the myriad inconveniences of international smuggling – overseas shipping, paying off inspectors, what have you.

Panel 3: Viper crouches on top of the warehouse roof, kept steady by a belt harness attached to cords. He listens into the window with a stethoscope pressed against it.

Coward: All these creatures can be found within the borders of your fine country. And once you have enough of a species, breeding them means practically printing money.

A giant smilodon hybrid creature, with a smilodon's face, reddish coat and horns, and red teeth and eyes. It has an enormous scaly body that is like an exaggerated version of a crocodile's.

Beast Fables - The Mighty Hodag

Largest and most powerful of feline chimera, so big, a swing of its tail can topple trees, and hide so thick, anything less than cannonfire is useless against it.

Derived from Smilodon.

A limbless weasel with off white fur and a winter nose pink dressed in a plush fur trimmed blue plaid caplet. In short, a noodle of pure joy that needs more love in the Fearsome Critters category. This one, if it wins, will be getting a bendable armature inside so it can wrap around shoulders or arms.

A fluffy green pug looking dude with horns, barbed tail, spikes, claws, and an underbite a boxer would approve of. This Hodag is dressed in a red plaid shirt, a speckled scarf, and holding a bag of white bulldog chips since it's a Sunday. The Hodag is a Wisconsin favorite and answer to the Jackalope with possible ties to the fabled Babe the Blue Ox.

A Sturgeon-Fox hybrid looking little guy dressed in an olive green cardigan with an off white blouse and a green bowtie. The Fish Fox wears a cute puffed tan and brown plaid shorts. I'm still determined to convince everyone that sturgeons are clearly water foxes, it's a fact and a truth. If this one wins, it'll be a fully clay based doll and based on the Foxling body pattern.
