People have often asked if I've just cut & paste a lake or sea in this image, lol no, just the long exposure has smoothed out the near dead calm waters anyway, and that sharp almost straight line is actually just the effect of standing in the water with the tripod down low. I just love how the light is striking the sides of the valley walls. Hukatere (moving snow) Pembroke Glacier under Puhipuhi-takiwai (Mount Pembroke) in Piopiotahi (Milford Sound). I took this a month after my father passed away in 2021 as I needed to get away from the world & do some grieving. Standing in this magnificent place the sadness just washed away & I was filled with a sense of joy, celebrating dad's life & the wonder of our planet.
