Thinking back, pretty sure the first programming I got to play with was Logo, then Basic, then Pascal... Late 80s into 90s our first computer was an IBM PS/2 #firstcomputer #retrocomputing
I still have the #firstcomputer I ever programmed—maybe back in 1980 or 81. The Atari 800 was such a great machine.
Getting tense, waiting to see if they'll be mentioning my old favourites, the ZX-81 and ZX Spectrum. #firstcomputer #retrocomputing - there are so many old computers, and the ZX range wasn't even on this side of the Pond, so I'm prepared to be disappoint.

The TRS-80 was the first computer I ever saw in person - 1977 or 78 in my elementary school. We were told that inside the computer were "cubby holes" for information to be stored in & that each cubby had a label for helping you get it back later.

High school, 1977.
My math teacher, Mr. Newton, had a corporate connection, and taught us how to program by punching IBM cards. He then had our card stacks processed at the company and brought back our printed output.
I don’t know what model computer it was.

Neighbor's kid was going to college, and they were selling his Commodore 64 and an old stack of coding magazines. I spent all summer mowing their lawn and doing choirs in their house to pay for it. Pics are middle school to high-school. #firstcomputer #retrocomputing

My #firstcomputer was an IBM. It led to my 1st foray into graphic design. Which led to becoming a webmaster at 14. A Geek on Call at 20. A web developer for the government at 24. M.S. Creative Technologist at 27. Then somehow advertising? Arduino. Apps. AI. And right back to #IBM. World of Watson.
My #firstcomputer was a Dragon 32. We bought it the day before the company that made them went bust. I bloody loved that thing. Especially a game called Quest which was just a 2D map of ASCII characters but utterly enthralling. :-)
