Happy birthday to your dad 🥳
The FBOMD was a pair of jackdaws standing on a neighbour's roof staring down on me and Sophie 🐩 looking at the empty feeders. I got the message loud and clear. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Blackbirds at least two singing at 5am, just one noisy crow at 6am giving long bursts of 5 or 6 craws. By morning quiet, although there were a few bursts of sparrow chatter in the privet mid morning but no sighting. #FirstBirdofMyDay
Happy birthday to Hannah's father!
#FirstBirdOfMyDay was an American robin crossing my path to see what the lawn on the other side of the street had to offer.
First bird of my day: a Blackbird making its way along the road on my way to work on a calm, mild morning. #Firstbirdofmyday
First bird of my day heard not seen - though I looked hard from the bedroom window. Song thrush. Rudely loud, stupendously varied and very tuneful. #firstbirdofmyday
Happy birthday to your Dad x
A stunning morning suddenly here after a cool misty dawn. The light brought out our little Wren from the Ivy as I turned to come face to face with a Wood pigeon on the Garden room roof.. #firstbirdofmyday
Happy Birthday to your dad! And so I’ll send him the chorus of cheerful Sparrow chirping from the balcony here in Poland 😺 #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Happy Birthday to your Dad! First bird of my day: a woodpigeon sitting in an apple tree. A cool, grey morning here. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Birthday greetings for your father. An early morning forest walk and as soon as we passed through the gate to the track 2 lyrebirds were sighted, scratching away in the leaf litter and beautifully camouflaged against the dark earth and fallen bark. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
Happy birthday to your dad!
#firstbirdofmyday was a beautiful male blackbird on the hedge just before a charm of goldfinches arrived to explore.
First birds of my day: a trio of Magpie screechily investigating something on the road outside, while a Rook peered magesterially down at them from a TV aerial above their heads, and a Herring Gull yelled its way across the grey cloudy sky.

First bird of my day. A magpie on a roof on a still day, preening it's glossy feathers with care. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
Blackbird foraging amongst the fallen camellia flowerheads, looking for breakfast. Beak bright and busy.

First bird of my day: the chirping sparrows outside my bedroom window, fluffed up in the cold breeze and eyes bright, dedicated to my father on his 80th Birthday, for he is the one who showed me the birds. Happy Birthday Daddy! #firstbirdofmyday #whatsyours
Blackbird woke me, but there on the bird feeder was a female great spotted woodpecker, her (would be?) mate drumming away close by. Heard my first curlew here yesterday!

Moin.
Bumblebees are perusing the fading flowers of the plum tree. The woodruff on the balcony is waking up. The #FirstBirdOfMyDay, a magpie, was waking me up. It's chattering away in the backyard between pigeon coos. A crow chimes in.
Still struggling.
How are you?

It seems a ling time since the FBOMD (work and dentist have got in the way). A carrion crow shouting at the world from a neighbour's chimney. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
First bird of my day was a jackdaw perched on a chimney pot. It noticed me moving and quickly flew off. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: American robin catching the early sun on the swaying mealworm feeder caught my eye, so I missed first seeing the white-throated sparrow on the ground below.
Out walking on the final day of my fundraising, without devices so late to post. Out along the Weavers Way beside the Bure hardly anything stirring until I disturbed a beautiful Kestrel. #firstbirdofmyday
I’ve actually forgotten what bird I saw first this morning but the bird that accompanied a glass of wine this evening as we watched the sun lowering in the sky was an eastern spinebill hovering around the salvias and flitting between the shrubs. #FirstBirdOfMyDay #WhatsYours
#FirstBirdOfMyDay a pair of woodpigeons perched on the overhead power line
A small formation of geese doing a sharp turn to land on a pond, along with a couple of stragglers in a hurry to catch up!
Beautiful to see!

First birds of my day: a sprightly Starling squeaking its way across the street, while a Carrion Crow bobbed and carked from a nearby TV aerial, and a pair of Herring Gull yelled their way across the grey-shrouded sky.

Lovely!
Less colourful here, my first visitors were pair of wood pigeon huddled close together atop the garden fence. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
A “Sing-Off” between Song Thrushes and Blackbirds for #FirstBirdOfMyDay.
Very loud - almost a bit of Spinal Tap, “well on this speaker, it doesn’t just stop at 10 on the Volume, it goes to 11” (slightly calmer tunes & arias!🤣)
First bird of my day: a Robin and Blackbird singing in the hedgerow and somewhere in the distance a Green Woodpecker calling on a calm, cloudy morning. #Firstbirdofmyday
