I see this lovely moss in the Devon woods from time-to-time, not been able to place it...it has a sort of sheen and the shoots cascade elegantly. Usually on very mature bark where a bit of debris has caught forming soil. This colony was on oak. One of my favourites.

Some banded grey bedrock where some bands have eroded more than the others, with a thin layer of dense moss growing mostly in the eroded bands. The bands go diagonally across the photo. Some dry pine needles lay scattered on the moss. The rock is illuminated by sunlight with something (trees probably) casting shadows over the upper right and lower left corners of the picture.

Nutella is trending on Bluesky, and all I can think is "everyone knows Nutella contains palm oil, right?"

My brain just won't shut up about these things, but I'm trying not to nag. Some days it's hard though.

A small ridge in a forest, with the ground covered completely in vinca (can't say if it's V. minor or V. major). The plant has green glossy leaves forming a dense carpet. A narrow path winds through the vegetation. The surrounding trees in the photo are mostly low and deciduous.

Down at the lake there's a peninsula that once was full of small summer cottages. Most of them have been torn down decades ago, and the forest is taking back the abandoned lots. The vinca (not native to Sweden) won't give up easily though.
