A green sea anemone - *Anthopleura xanthogrammica* - basks in a tide pool. Though its bright green color mostly comes from animal pigment, it also hosts both dinoflagellate and green algal unicellular symbionts. I just love the purple tentacle tips contrasting with the vivid green.

Clam worm with many wiggly legs in shallow water at the beach. The worm is dark colored.
Saw a bunch of cool wiggly clam worms in the shallow waters around City Island yesterday. Seagulls were feasting on them. Wikipedia says early spring is mating season and they develop the ability to swim. Fun to see, but they look like a Klingon delicacy. #invertebrate #clamworm
