All the ends have been woven in, and the dark grey corner has been shortened to match the starting corner.

Yep, a little dark, but it's working well enough that I'm going to ignore it.
Also, I've dropped stitches TWICE so far in this corner, probably from the needles having so few stitches on them. Fortunately, it's only laddered down to the yarn-overs, so I could fix it.

Fuck. Lost yarn chicken.
For the moment, I've just cast off where it ended. But I'm not satisfied with any of how this has gone. The pattern concept itself is fine, but it feels like I've screwed up on the increasing half.

And now I'm even MORE concerned about this. Holding the working edge and folding the cable along its length shows my tensions down each side are *very* different.

Yep. Too early to switch back to straight needles from circulars.
But I *am* getting very, *very* close!
Hence why I'm prioritizing it over other projects for now. Hopefully I can finish it soon. Very curious to see how it feels in use!

Further progress. The last row I added took me almost exactly 7 minutes. It's getting there!
I also had to go down a needle size. Turns out, my tensions were slackening, and I couldn't fix it without doing that. This means that I now *can* use my interchangeables!

Well, it's making progress!
I'm still getting odd patterns along the edges of the decreases, unfortunately, but I think that's what I get for doing the knitted Moss Stitch corner-to-corner.
Guess I won't do that again.

The problem I've run into on one side of the decrease half.
That chain of knit stitches is NOT the sort of thing I'm looking for.
Apparently, blindly doing "k2, k2tog, yo, k/p2tog, alternate until border, k3" *deliberately* results in that line. No matter what I did.

A pink reverse stockinette section, a yellow garter stitch eyelet section, and a pink stockinette section. After that it repeats from the moss section to the last stockinette section again.

Interestingly, the top sections on this blanket have separated into "warm" and "cool" tone halves. Absolutely random. Very curious to see how it'll look when I start decreasing, too.

The number of times I've had to tink an entire row because I'd done two of the same stitch side-by-side is very annoying. But the results will be worth it!

Okay, not *quite* the stitch pattern I was aiming for, but it's turning out well enough that I'm not going to fiddle with it anymore. I should be clear to just keep going until I reach about the halfway point of the 1kg cake, and then start decreasing back again. We'll see!

Oh yeah. When you alternate knits vs purls on the opposite side of the project, they actually act like the same stitches stacked up on top of each other.
