Noticed this yesterday in our neighborhood. Great example of #lightatnight influencing #biological processes, in this case the dormancy rate/timing in part of a birch tree. Not always bad, of course. Not sure how hot this downward LED streetlight gets, so maybe it's the heat?

Please #Seattle do not aim your unshielded security lights at #pedestrians this creates a tripping hazard as well as harsh, blue emitting #lightatnight we know is a public health issue. where pedestrians feel welcome to walk at night are safer. Don’t blind them. @SeattlePed
