A close up of the center o fa white fortnight lily. The long white petals curl out of the frame on both sides. The interior petals with purple ridges center the frame, and underneath you can see the yellow mid sections of the larger petals. Background is blurred greens, and a single stem from another lily runs diagonally up along the right hand side of the frame, between two petals.

I've been neglecting my favorite macro lens this year in favor of my telephoto setup (birds! birds! birds!), so yesterday I took it out and played with the fortnight lilies in the front yard.

I hope to get it out a lot more in April! 😊
