At Pett Pools there's usually a few tiny, brown Linnets hopping around on the bare ground, searching for tiny seeds.
This morning there was just this one and it had a very muddy bill.

My first morning in Pembrokeshire meant a visit to the coast. Before reaching the coast proper the walk took me through some gorse bushes where there are a few species of smaller birds. The first I encountered were linnets including these two that posed very nicely #ukwildlife #linnet #bird
