Garmin card for my parkrun at Highbury Fields today - 159bpm average heart rate, 4.93km distance, 3:53/km average pace. My time was 19:07.
Went local for this week's #parkrun and I ran faster than I have for some while (maybe as far back as autumn 2024). No idea why, expecially as the run streak is now at 134 days! Anyway, thanks to everyone at Highbury Fields for making it happen. 👍 #LoveParkrun #Running

The top 3 finishers today at Barrow parkrun. Quite a few of our regular fast runners didn’t run today so we weren’t sure who was going to end up crossing the line first.
And to put it in perspective, I saw this on Instagram earlier. Jimmy Gressier set a new European 5km road record in 12:51. I can’t imagine what it’s like to run a 5k in that time!
I was timekeeping today at Barrow #Parkrun and a tourist managed to get round in 17:27; he said afterwards he was expecting it to be hillier!
Our course record is 15:12 for male, and 16:24 for female. When he passed me on the first lap I was convinced he was going to set a new record. #LoveParkrun

🚧 Southern Water works – tankers are back, and this affects parkrun parking.
Sewer maintenance began on Tuesday 7 April and is expected to last around three weeks. Tankers are back on site to manage wastewater flows.

Cieszyn parkrun.
Cieszyn parkrun. Set within a park that straddles the Polish and Czech border, this is the only parkrun in the world to cross into another country that does not host events. The route starts at Cieszyn Municipal Stadium, crosses the Sports Bridge into Český Těšín, a town in Czech Republic, then follows the Olza River before looping back to finish where it began.
Saw this on #parkrun Facebook and Instagram, absolutely fascinating about this event at Cieszyn.
Set within a park that straddles the Polish and Czech border, this is the only parkrun in the world to cross into another country that does not host events.
