Great photographs are built through a sequence of decisions. Structure, rules, and techniques only matter insofar as they serve intent.

The thing with badgers is that they never forget. They know their area and roam miles at night. I leave out peanuts and apple. Sometimes leave out an egg. If the badgers don't come, the birds eat the apple and peanuts. Nothing goes wasted.

Trees provide us and wildlife with so many benefits! They improve health and wellbeing, improve air quality through pollution filtration, are great for flood management and sustainable drainage and much more! π³ π

How about a wintery evening stroll with the trees? We're starting to gain a bit more light in the evenings, so why not make the most of that beautiful evening sky!

Happy New Year everyone! It's the start of a brand new year, which means another year of celebrating our beautiful trees.

So then, last night there was a Hare hopping around my front garden and just now I was stared at by 3 Roe Deer as I'm on my way to do some shopping. π€©
It's why I love living here. π₯°

Photos taken just now. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed movement in the garden. So, I put the security lights on and found a Hare taking a look around again. π #LoveWildlife #LoveNature #Ayrshire #Scotland

Birds always looked like dinosaurs to me and this silver-cheeked hornbill, from Tanzania, is no exception.

A kudu in Zimbabwe. Despite their size (they're quite large), kudu are very wary. My last trip was definitely my least successful when it came to photographing them!

These moments are quite rare. I have only managed to get photos of a Songthrush around 3 times over the last 18 years. So, I'm really pleased to present this beautiful creature that was just hopping around my front garden hunting worms. π #BlueskyNatureCommunity #LoveWildlife #LoveNature #Ayrshire

A lioness in Uganda. The priority on that trip was to see gorillas, but seeing lions is always welcome.

Grey tree frog sitting on a blue watering can.
This grey tree frog lives in my blue watering can. We share custody when I water my flowers in the evening.
I sit him on the stone wall while I water and always leave a little in the bottom for his Froggy needs.
