Flabbergasted to discover #ManxShearwater can live to 50 years old. Hung out with some Manxies this summer, and their landing/walking skills did not suggest longevity (indeed there was always a fresh crop of corpses in the morning…)

This Manx Shearwater 🐦‍⬛ was recently blown inshore by strong winds, and was safely released by our #MarineConservation team! 🤩

Came across a manx shearwater stranded in a field this evening whilst I walked Lily & Tucker.@berniebeck.bsky.social was nearby with a box that he used to rescue it. Hopefully it will released soon & be able to head home to South America
