A northern mockingbird on the top rail of a deck and looking up with its mouth open. The eyes are yellow and the inside of the mouth appears to be orange at the front and transitions to red at the base of the beak. The breast and belly areas are white while the back is light grey with white and black stripes in the wing plumage. The tips are white.
This northern mockingbird has been visiting our deck daily for the last three to four days. Seems to especially like peanuts!
