If you didn't join #multiomics2024, here is a nice illustrative summary of my talk on normalisation in spatial txomics data.

TL;DR - Use SpaNorm, the only spatially aware normalisation method out there! We are improving as we learn more so stay tuned for updates!

Single cell profiling obscures profound spatial heterogeneity.

Even if these 4 samples had the same proportions of cell types, the spatial arrangement is vastly different.

We’re having a great time at #Multiomics2024 in Brisbane. Our Associate Director of Product Management Abbey Cutchin presented about #AVITI24— a single platform for both next gen sequencing and spatial #multiomics. Visit our booth and learn how we’re expanding what’s possible on a benchtop platform.

Yesterday, I presented our latest results mining single molecule m6A data at #multiomics2024:
We see changes in m6A levels following CRISPR-cas13 knock-down of oncogenic lncRNAs that are independent of mRNA expression levels, revealing new dimensions of highly pertinent biological information

Summary part 1

Sub-populations of cells have distinct combinations of oncogenes:

In DLBCL, MYC+BCL2+BCL6-cells have the strongest impact on survival

BCL6 negativity is important to assess (possible role of CCND2)

A single-cell resolved definition of DEL lymphoma as a "continuum"; extrapolatable from IHC images

Does this phenomenon (clinically relevant co-expression of oncogenes in a subset of cells) occur in other cancers?
