Hey #narthex? Are marital evals a normal part of the ordination process? Before postulancy, they asked me to have my wife come in to the same place I was doing my psych stuff and have her and I be interviewed separately about our marriage. Never found out the methodology of how they assessed it. ⚓️

Hey #narthex types: it’s my first Ash Wednesday as a priest, and I’ve never thought to ask. How does the priest (assuming solo priest service) get ashed? Do you do it to yourself? Have an acolyte do it? Or is the priest not supposed to get ashed? Literally never even considered how this would work ⚓️
