Engraved with different place names, as well as lines showing prayer times.
Made in Córdoba, Spain, by Muhammad ibn al-Saffâr. Created 1026 AD.

A #Roman bone die found at #Trimontium. The die is very similar to a modern example. The points are marked by incised circles with holes in the centres and someone last threw it sometime between AD80-100. This is part of the #NationalMuseumsScotland collection.

#TrimontiumTuesday features these beautiful #Roman silver-plated pendants, discovered during Curle's excavations 1905-1911 at #Newstead . These would have likely been worn on harnesses during tournaments & ceremonies as a display of wealth & status.On display at #NationalMuseumsScotland
