Not probably, definitely. #pdxcc
More information will be posted at www.portland.gov/council/agen... as it's finalized.
The first meeting of the Portland City Council's Community and Public Safety Committee will probably be 2:30 PM on Tuesday, February 11.

This was non-transparent, even to Councilors - I found out through this press release.
This is not good governance.
Portlanders deserve open processes. You did not receive one on the LUCS. An open process doesn't mean any specific outcome, but it would have been more transparent.

I am incredibly excited to work with my colleagues on the Community and Public Safety Committee to preserve and develop PSR. #pdxcc
I'll need to catch up by speed-listening the Zenith work session and listening session later today, but from what I can tell from the live-threads this morning, it'll be plenty interesting. #pdxcc
And a quick comment 🧵 on district representation on Portland Council committees. Big respect for @councilorkanal.bsky.social for his vote, and his understanding why district representation is so important. And yes, things will be okay. #pdxcc 1/
A quick 🧵 about District Offices. Ultimately, I think @councilorgreen.bsky.social's approach described here will be the best one. But it's something that GTAC wrestled with, and it's complicated. 1/ #pdxcc
Some very thoughtful weekend threads coming from some Portland city councilors today. Here's @councilorkanal.bsky.social
(P.S. I'll try to use the #pdxcc hashtag on a trial basis for a while, but we'll see how it goes.)
Are we using #pdxcc now for Portland City Council? Or is there a better hashtag for this?
#PDXCC what I learned tonight is we are going to have two main blocks who reliably vote together DSA - Green, Kanal, Lane & Capitol Stooge Crew Clark, Zimmerman, Ryan #PDX
Impatient Councilor Smith keep her reputation, uses "ignorance" to describe fellows who disagree with her (city attorney reading the charter)
NE/N Dist 2 Dan Ryan picks Clarke who did far less prep on the vote than Avalos
