An Eastern Meadowlark with a bright yellow breast is perched facing to the right on a bush with lot of bare black twiggy branches in the photo's left half. The bird and bush are a small part of the scenery, placed in a landscape of mostly golden grasses going all the way back to the horizon. Everything is muted and softened by thick fog which turns the background a very indistinct light gray.
Eastern Meadowlark (Sturnella magna) on a foggy morning at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve. Hope fog qualifies as #weather for the #BirdoftheDay.
