A Green-veined White butterfly rests on a cluster of blackthorn blossom in a hedgerow. The butterfly has distinctive cream underwings, interspersed with some black scales around the wing veins that together give the illusion of the veins being picked out in green. The hair on the butterfly's body is mainly grey, but with some yellow mixed in around its head. Its eyes are a pale aqua blue and its antennae are striped in black and white. It's resting on the right side of the blackthorn head, with its folded wings pointing down at an angle towards the bottom right corner of the frame. The blossom is white, with yellow and brown stamens, and bright green leaves are showing between the individual flowers.
