#PiwikPro, on Jan 13, changed how the "Session Entry URL" is calculated. While so far, Sessions without Pageviews had NO Entry URL, now they have the URL of the page on which the non-Pageview Event happened. Seems better to me, but should have been communicated. They add it to the changelog.

If you expected #CookieInformation 's "cookie scanner" (their way to detect what technologies you are using...) to be able to click "Accept" on a website's #PiwikPro #ConsentManager (same company), you definitely expect too much.
Has anybody at #PiwikPro thought through this whole "forced migration to #CookieInformation" idea? To test the connection between CookieInfo and PP, you need to upgrade to a Business Account. But as soon as you upgrade to a Business Account, your old CM stops working. So how do u test this shit???

"Will we need to update all our keywords in #GoogleAds to lower-case to align with #PiwikPro ’s reporting?" => Thou shalt never have case mixes in Google Ads in the first place! Google treats them case-insensitively, but they cause a problem bc PP can't match mixed-case keywords.

When #PiwikPro started throttling their API this year without giving client a proper way to prepare or test for this, they told me that I could use the X-Retry-After header in the response to handle when to trigger the next request... Turns out this header always contains "0" and is thus useless.😑
And then nonsense conditions like "only 10 Calculated Metrics allowed" (Adobe clients have 1000s of them usually btw), but then don't offer an easy way to see all of them - u literally have to go through each app for each user to locate them... Was there some hostile takeover at #PiwikPro?
Seem like somebody from #SimilarWeb aka the tool with the most complicated pricing system ever has joined #PiwikPro. Instead of simply basing the price on volume, enterprise licenses now come with 434789 "This is included, but this not" clauses where you waste days just figuring out what you get...

If you suddenly make your free product a paid one, bummer, but fine, we all need to live. But then please make it easy for existing clients to figure out how big the license is they will need. #PiwikPro unfortunately turns this into a very tedious exercise.
This #PiwikPro Tag Manager bug is now fixed. Your Piwik Visitor Cookies last as long as you specify them in your Piwik Pro Analytics Config Tag.
If you use this setting in your #PiwikPro Analytics tag, it does not work. It sets the expiration to your custom time when the user accepts consent, but then on the next pageview it is at the 13 months default again. Bug is acknowledged by PiwikPro.
Deactivated #GoogleAnalytics completely for a client. Another one has of the agony that came with #ga4 and the constant privacy shenanigans of #Google. I don't blame them. They are now 100% with #PiwikPro, which is not a solution I recommend for everybody, but for them, it is just right.

Experiencing major problems with #PiwikPro Looker Studio Dashboards for multiple clients today. The error messages are misleading, as the custom dimensions that supposedly cause the problem are not even used in the widget nor anywhere else on the dashboard.
The API Rate Limits that #PiwikPro will introduce in June will also apply to dashboards built via the #LookerStudio Connector. But supposedly PP has already contacted some of the users who were exceeding the limit. developers.piwik.pro/reference/ap...
