Brown, white and buff bird performing a Tokyo drift in mid-flight. It is looking toward the photographer with its wings curled to promote the rapid change of direction. Its orange legs are extended below its body and its its feet and talons are curled back slightly It has a light breast with dark streaks, the under side of its far wing is mostly white with dark brown lines and checks. The top of its near wing is mostly dark with white highlights. Background is mostly sky but along the bottom is a line of soft gray clouds having peach, yellow & pink highlights.

An amazing encounter with a northern harrier at the Pole Farm-she darn near flew right over me. (bonus: i didn't lose my balance and fall down this time.)
