A fossil of a pterosaur, a type of flying reptile from the Mesozoic Era (Pterodactylus antiquus) It's wings, limbs, body, head, feet etc, are all over the place in this fossil, and look a little manic tbh. It makes for a nice design though, artistic. Extra info: These fossils are often found in fine-grained limestone, which helps preserve delicate structures like wing membranes. (Here it looks like the stone is a very smooth cream coloured marble or slate. Unlike dinosaurs, pterosaurs were flying reptiles that lived from approximately 215 to 66 million years ago. They were the first vertebrates to achieve powered flight. They had hollow bones and wings made of skin stretched between a single finger and their body.

Meet the Quetzalcoatlus, the absolute titan of the prehistoric skies. ✈️ Often mistaken for a dinosaur, this was actually a pterosaur—a flying reptile that lived during the Late Cretaceous period (~70–66 million years ago). Standing next to a life-sized model at a museum is the only way to truly grasp its "preposterous" proportions, which look more like science fiction than reality. 📏 Stats Wingspan: 10–11 meters (33–36 feet). That’s roughly the size of a Cessna 172 light airplane. Standing Height: ~5 meters (16 feet). When on the ground, it stood as tall as a modern giraffe. Weight: ~200–250 kilograms (440–550 lbs). Despite its size, it was incredibly light due to its hollow, air-filled bones. Diet: Likely a "terrestrial stalker." Much like a giant stork, it used its long, toothless beak to snatch up small animals and baby dinosaurs from the ground. Location: Its primary fossils were discovered in Big Bend National Park, Texas, in 1971

Donna Terpo and the Orb of Nine Mercies by Zhaolong, a Post-TF comic, where a Pteranodon turned Wingsuiter shows up hoping to get a reverse TF back into the male pteranodon they once were. Since she arrived late to the event, Zhaolong has to collect mercy from the audience to see if she may be reverted. The first panel depicts Zhaolong's claw holding an old pocketwatch. The middle panel depicts Donna Terpo with an urgent expression as she grasps hold of Zhaolong's arm in protest, begging for a better result. The final panel depitcts Zhaolong with a mournful expression telling her that everything that can be done has been done here, and not to lose hope for a future, permanent reversion. Dialogue: Zhaolong: Time is up, Donna Terpo. The orb has been powered by nine mercies out of the ten you require. Donna Terpo: No! Please, there has to be a way!
