Broad-clawed or Hairy Porcelain Crab, about 60-100 individuals seen over 2 days
Gracile Sea Spider, 1 found on the first day and followed up by 5+ more today

Two days of flipping rocks at Torquay beach has really paid off for myself and @kieope.bsky.social , with our best two tidepooling sessions weβve had yet. 11 lifers and many other good species found! Couldnβt pick just 4 for pics so more in comments #rockpooling #wildlife #sealife #devon

A few non-UV illuminated finds from todays night time safari.
Cowries, fish and sea slug species are always a delight. Fish were particularly conspicuous in the torch light, with 20+ of 3 species seen.

Just after first light & only part of the shore was exposed but thereβs always something to see. I found these Twin Fan Worms (Bispira volutacornis) who were happy to tolerate my photographic efforts & didnβt vanish into their tubes.

Though it may sound like a terrestrial species the green-leaf worm is often seen crawling around under rocks at low tide π π They can grow up to 15cm and their body is split up into around 200 segments! π

There was #rockpooling too. With my son I had at least 5 intertidal fish species (including Sea stickleback, many Butterfish & Long-spined sea scorpion) and 4 (surprisingly large) Sea hares (my 1st sea slugs).
