A view of the radar over the Northland at 4:45 p.m. on February 9, 2026, shows a cluster of showers along and south of Highway 2, moving from west/southwest to east/northeast. It does not appear to be reaching the surface in the Twin Ports area or points within about 30 miles of Duluth, a sign that there could be dry air at the surface preventing the rain, sleet, and snow from reaching the ground.
