It's that time of year again- when I shamelessly plug my books 😅
Perfect stocking fillers, but of course!
Direct from the publisher, also online bookshops aplenty.

Too hot? Melting? Here's a cooling treat for the eyes...
Maybe stick your head in the freezer before and after viewing, for maximum effect...

Aline Davies - Colwyn Bay Heritage Group Aline Davies was born in Colwyn Bay. Her family had moved to the town in the 1920s when her grandfather was unwell.

Aline tells her story. The Pier was the venue for her wedding reception. Max Bygraves was one of the many famous names to appear in the Variety Shows. The Pier Orchestra would perform and there would be guest singers on a Sunday. #colwynbay #northwales #wales #seasidehistory #piers #memories

In the Second World War the Home Guard removed many of the planks from the pier, so that any invading German soldiers using the pier for a night-time invasion would fall through the holes! #rhosonsea #northwales #welshhistory #WW2 #piers #seasidehistory

It's no accident that the early promoters of railway schemes to Southend included a steam packet company - that ran boats down the Thames for daytrippers (more of them later!) - and property developers who provided land for the stations at Westcliff and Thorpe Bay. #SeasideHistory #Skystorians
