an arm of brittle star is visible from under a rock, there are snails and hermit crabs around it
an asian green mussel lodged in a rockbed
a feather duster worm with orange branchiae -- Feather dusters are filter feeders and utilize cilia on their feathery filaments to generate current and pull food towards their mouths.
a limpet with small barnacles attached on the shell.
The #ShoreWalk on 30th morning was amazing, got to see so many marine flora and fauna early morning - it was totally worth waking up at 2:30 am to reach the beach by 6:30 am.
More pictures on Pixelfed -- here's a list:

you see a mass of plastic garbage with few thread like structures, that shell binding worms (sea worms) build. the worms secrete a parchment like tube, and then decorate these from the outside with solids they collect. the tubes run deep and are very long.
some of Mumbai's sandy shoreline are littered, but fascinatingly a lot of this garbage has started becoming part of the tubes that shell-binding worms (aka decorator worms) as they decorate using anything plastic - rather than shells they find.

there is a rust color shell in the middle and some purple striation. the soft foot (muscle of the mollusc) can be seen all around, the lower part, seems to have the foot retracted, but another small pink mass showing (this part is zoomed and shared in next photograph)
close up of the extra pink mass, it is tear drop shaped, and has two small pink bumps on it, below and next to it are white dots, which are possibly egg cells. (not sure if they are limpet eggcells. so if a gastropod/limpet scientist ever sees this post, maybe they can confirm)
Here's an interesting photograph for #MolluscMonday
A Hoof-shield Limpet.
2nd photo is a zoomed in version of the first one, but I might have managed to photograph a limpet laying eggs.

a photograph of a seaworm (top left) with segments and bristles, you can also see some red algae near it. there are variety of stones and shells in the intertidal pool.

some more tiny things from the #ShoreWalk.
look at those polyps (flower like structure on the branches)
and at left bottom, there's a gastropod with its syphon out.
the gastropod would be a few mm long.

a small long sea slug -- green color, with frilly edges, that are yellow in color, you can see two horns and a red spot on the head. there are green algaes all around.
another such slug photographed, and in a different tide pool, with other kind of marine vegetation.
First time seeing these Elysia sea slugs - during an Intertidal zone #ShoreWalk in Mumbai.
Used a 55mm Nikkor macro lens to photograph them.

Bombay has an amazing ecosystem, and we get to see a whole lot of creatures -- if we just take the time to look!
so if you're in the city, you should plan to join for the walk!

Friends go for this! At my last Juhu #ShoreWalk I saw octopus, moray eel, squid and cuttlefish eggs + a lot of crabs (true + false) and snails! Some epic snail egg cells!
Day 9 - #InvertAdvent
This was very interesting find.
What did we see? Diving Beetles.
Where are they seen? Fresh water
But this one was taken at a #ShoreWalk actively moving around and diving.

A small love snail, on a wet piece of stone, you can see its foot beneath the shell with a white line parallel to the stone it is on. it has a very shiny shell, and you can see a lot of reflections on it. one of the darker reflection is that of the photographer (me)
