Gotta say Halifax @hfxgov.bsky.social there have been crappy sidewalk clearing days, and some after major storms (when I cut slack of course)...but this was a few centimeters. And yet, the sidewalks are slush with ice underneath -the wost.

Thinking about this in the context of #TaxMeDaddy & part of the reason we can shoulder the extra tax is bc we *don't* drive to work. Partial WFH & bike or bus to the office. High gas prices don't affect our commute. Happy to pay a bit more to support public services that make life more affordable.

I second this message.
Taxes ARE affordability. They make it easier to collectively support and uplift eachother.
They're yer subscription fee to an equitable society. They pay to make great content, and (ideally) a better life.
Unsubscribe if you like, but don't expect access either.

Gov McKee, I will gladly pay more for my gas guzzler if the money gets funneled into RIPTA. It'd probably save me money overall because I'd be able to keep my truck parked at home most days.
