This view it is facing away, partly to the side, antennae back along its body.
A tiny moth sits on a piece of poplar wood which is pale gold, soft and shreddy as the bark has been stripped and it has whitish fungus showing throughout. The moth has its wings folded back over its body making it look very narrow. It is mottled and blotchy with light to medium grey, even silvery and dark to black small blotches, mostly random looking. It has long antennae, though one may be broken to half and its legs continue the mixed colouring along with some shaggy hairs especially on the upper part.
Still from the rear/side, antennae forward,m head turned a bit to the left.

Looking down on the moth, it is oriented left-right its head to the left. From this angle it looks darker.

Days have been a handful of degrees or a little more above freezing daytime, well below at night. This tiny person appeared on a chunk of wood I had just cut and tossed to the splitting area #moth #spring #InsectThursday #inverts #BugSky #Alberta #Canada #nature #BorealForest #TinyBeauty 🌿📷
