looking into a white metal breadbox at a 1:12 scale miniature scene, there are two tiny rag dolls, one lying down on a bed covered with a tiny patchwork quilt, and one leaning over the edge of a light blue couch to talk to her. There is a wooden toy Akita dog sitting with his back to the viewer. On the far left one can barely see a minature wood stove made from cardboard, and on the far right side is the edge of a wooden christmas tree with some tiny gifts underneath,,, "not bigger than a breadbox, but in fact it started out as just that... now is in the process of being converted into a studio apartment for Opal. Not really set up yet, just some of the Caer Cardboard furniture moved in temporarily. Kenya and Sequoia are visiting while Opal puts her feet up for a few and thinks about what to deal with next... I'm thinking maybe a worktable, at least one bookcase, maybe an armchair instead of the couch, and a single bed insted of the big double clothespin bed. The flooring is contact paper on bristol board, and will anchor future color choices. Opal really likes "Danish Modern" MCM style, which isn't surprising given her heritage."

I've started turning a discarded breadbox into a 1:12 scale studio apartment for Opal, one of the four tiny rag doll folk that live here at Acorn Cottage. Vintage contact paper flooring, and temporarily, some of the assorted furniture I've made in the last few years.
