A photo of me sat in front of a brick wall. The photo is in black and white and is converted from a UV photo. UV photos of people show freckles even on the smoothest skinned people because freckles show up more strongly in shorter wavelengths. You can try this to a lesser extent with black and white film and a blue filter.
I'm not usually one for self portraiture, it's a little bit more vulnerable than I like being (who ever heard of a photographer in front of the camera??)
