Wild Turkeys can fly, but they spend most of their time on the ground, so they are very wary. This photo was taken when I went to our local dump in Lake Placid to get rid of some recycles. I’ve gotten some lovely scenic shots there, because it’s an open area with mountains in the distance. In the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, even the views from the dump are stunning.
