Green Heron, it's left foot raised as it was observed hunting late one afternoon. Standing on a section of tree root in the swamp, small green backed bird has reddish chest under, orange legs and a long sharp beak.
Two Black-Necked Stilts, Pictured in shallow water, the bird in the foreground is captured in mid-step. Medium body, black backed, white under, pinkish legs. Black on back of neck forms into a mask around eyes.
Little Blue Heron, standing on it's right leg as it steps sideways with it's left leg. Medium sized wader, this heron is mostly a dark pale blue, with hints of reddish feathers on neck.
